The bathroom may be one of the most hated places in the house to clean, and for good reason. So, without further ado, set that alarm for 10 minutes and get to work.
- Pick up and put away all dirty clothes and towels.
- Remove anything left in the bathroom that belongs elsewhere.
- Clean off the mirror.
- Make an effort to keep the countertop clear.
- Rearrange cabinets to make room for items from counter.
- Remove expired medicines from cabinets.
- Throw out old makeup.
- Clean hair from the shower trap.
- Remove the trash.
- Sweep/Vacuum/Wipe up the floor.
This list assumes you keep some things under the sink in the bathroom (or as close as possible):
- Bottle of all-purpose cleaner (whatever you prefer to use for the mirror)
- Roll of paper towels
- All purpose cleaning wipes (Lysol/Clorox/Pledge, etc.) for floor, counter tops
We keep these items under the sink so they are handy when we need them. Obviously, this isn’t the day to deep scrub the tub or the toilet, but if they need a wipe down and you have the time, then go for it.
Since most of us start our day in the bathroom, it can only be a good thing to make this room as user friendly as possible. Take 10 minutes to get it in order today and you’ll have a better start to your day tomorrow.

I love the idea of keeping cleaning supplies right there. You’re so much more likely to use them if it doesn’t seem like a big deal just to get what you need!
